I thoroughly enjoyed watching Micheal Phelps, the USA women's gymnastics team, beach volleyball, etc. So much so that I was up late every night last week. Now that the Olympics are over, maybe I'll be able to get to bed at a decent hour ;-).
I decided to find out if I could knit a sweater in 17 days, and joined the Ravelypics. Event - Sweater Sprint, Team - Harveyville Spinsters Club. My entry was knitting my third Ariann, this time out of Noro Kureyon. I thought I was through with the desire to knit another Ariann, even though it's a great sweater, but I had seen another Raveler's Ariann out of Kureyon and had to knit it. Total copycat.

It took me no less than four (or was it five) tries to get the neck right. First too high, second wrong colors, third, still to high, fourth wrong needles. It may stay, or it may be changed again - pondering adding the pattern's collar instead of the omission.
I also finished my Mother's Noro Lizzy I started in January (guilt?) - as I made the mistake of telling Mom what I was doing with the Olympic knitting. I technically didn't finish by Beijing time (but I also didn't start Beijing time either), but hey - they were still broadcasting here - so I'm gonna count it. Event - WIP Wrestling, Entry - Noro Lizzy completion, Team - Harveyville Spinsters Club.
